Cities Outlook 2025 - online launch briefing

Join Centre for Cities for an in-depth look at the findings from Cities Outlook 2025, the 18th edition of their annual flagship publication.

Cities Outlook 2025 will provide the latest economic data on how 63 UK urban areas are performing against a wide range of indicators, including innovation, housing, skills, employment and productivity. Find out how Preston is faring.

There are six different events to share the findings from this year's publication: online (and in-person launch events) and four 'deep dive' sessions focused on different parts of the country.

In addition to setting out the state of the UK's cities across a range of indicators, Cities Outlook highlights a different major issue facing urban Britain each year. Previous years' publications have focused on topics including how UK cities have fared since 2010, economic inactivity, air quality, automation and the impact of the pandemic. The topic for Cities Outlook 2025 will be announced in the new year.

This event will consist of an introduction to the report, in-depth presentation and audience Q&A and will take place on Zoom and YouTube livestream.

Speakers:

  • Paul Swinney, Director of Policy and Research, Centre for Cities (presenter)
  • Andrew Carter, Chief Executive, Centre for Cities (Chair)
